I have worked at the Center for Cultural Policy Research (Cupore) since 2014 first as a project researcher and from the beginning of 2015 as a researcher. During this period, I have conducted different studies and evaluations, many of them commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Culture, on different topics in relation to cultural policy, creative economy and state subsidies for art and culture.

In the years 2014-2015 I conducted several evaluations on the usage and effectiveness of EU's structural funds for arts, culture and creative economy in Mainland Finland between 2007 and 2013. These three research projects centered on activities in Finland funded by EU's Regional Development Fund, Social Fund and Agricultural Fund. In 2015, I conducted a study on public library development project subsidies and their relation to the national library policy. During 2016-2017, I have worked on a research project called Cultural and Creative Spillovers in Europe (https://ccspillovers.wikispaces.com/Evidence+review+2015) and evaluation study of state transfers for promoting cultural activities of disability communities and the accessibility of culture. I also wrote a working paper on the effectiveness evaluation of cultural policy. Currently, I'm working on a research projects related to the state subsidies for art and culture, cultural policy indicators, effectiveness and impacts of cultural policy. One of my current tasks is also to evaluate the governmental key project “Access to art and culture will be facilitated” (2015-2018).

I have MSocSci (cultural policy, political science and sociology) from the University of Jyväskylä. Since the summer of 2016, I’ve been also preparing my doctoral-level studies in Jyväskylä's Cultural Policy Program.
