High-Quality Basic Education in the Arts in Espoo, Helsinki and Vantaa
The Act on Basic Education in the Arts is being reformed. In spring 2026, Cupore will examine the activities of basic art education institutions in the three municipalities of the Helsinki metropolitan area, as well as their capacity to provide high-quality education within the framework of the renewed law.
The quality of basic art education will be assessed from the perspectives of the content and pedagogy of the teaching, funding and operational conditions, as well as accessibility and equality. The quality review is based on a survey directed at the educational institutions, as well as existing documents and material
