Arts and Culture Barometer 2025 now also in English
The theme of the latest Arts and Culture Barometer is the international activities of artists. The report that was published in spring is now available also in English.
The Arts and Culture Barometer 2025 gathered the thoughts of artists working in Finland on internationality and international activities. Altogether 1286 artists representing different fields of the arts responded to the barometer survey.
An English translation of the barometer has now been published aimed at both an international audience and those working in Finland in a language other than Finnish. The purpose is to bring the results of the barometer to a wider audience of artists and researchers.
The results indicate that international activities are widespread and diverse among artists, with 76 percent confirming that they have worked internationally during their professional careers. According to the respondents, however, utilising the opportunities presented by international activities requires stronger and more long-term funding and support structures than currently available.
Publishing the barometer in English is intended to contribute for its part to the development of international activities and collaboration.

The Finnish Arts and Culture Agency (Kuvi) is hosting an English-language webinar, in which the results of the Arts and Culture Barometer 2025 will be presented by Minna Ruusuvirta, Senior Researcher, and Emmi Lahtinen, Researcher, at the Center for Cultural Policy Research Cupore. The results of the barometer and the international activities of artists will be discussed by Actor and Director David Kozma and Henri Terho, Director of the Arts and Culture Funding Department at Kuvi.
