By public transport

Bio Rex is easily accessible by various public transport connections.

• Tram: Lines 4 and 10 stop directly in front of Lasipalatsi. Lines 3, 6, 7 and 10 stop nearby, with a walking distance of approx. 3–5 minutes.
• Metro: Lasipalatsi is located between Kamppi and Central Railway Station metro stations; both are about a 5-minute walk away.
• Bus: Lasipalatsi lies between Kamppi and Central Railway Station bus terminals, each about a 5-minute walk away.
• Train: Helsinki Central Railway Station is approximately a 7-minute walk away.

On foot or by bicycle

The venue is centrally located in downtown Helsinki and can be easily reached on foot or, for example, by city bike.

By car and parking

There is no dedicated parking at Lasipalatsi, but several parking garages are located nearby:

• EuroPark Simonkenttä
• EuroPark P-CityForum
• Aimo Park Stockmann

Please note, parking is subject to a fee.

Accessibility

Lasipalatsi’s Bio Rex is largely an accessible event space. The accessible entrance is located on the Lasipalatsinaukio side.

Arrival and entrance

Accessible automatic doors are located on the Lasipalatsinaukio side of the building. Bio Rex is situated on the second floor of Lasipalatsi; the lift to the second floor is located on the Amos Rex Museum side, next to the museum shop.

Movement within the space

Access to the Bio Rex cinema hall is mostly accessible (via the doors facing Lasipalatsinaukio; these doors are not automatic and have two thresholds, 3 cm and 3.5 cm).

There are a few steps leading to the stage; a ramp can be installed if needed—please inform the organisers in advance if you require one.

Seats in row 9 of the auditorium can be arranged as accessible seating upon request.

Lobby areas and toilets

The restrooms in the Bio Rex foyer are not accessible. Accessible toilets are available in the Lasipalatsi restaurant area.

Access from the cinema or foyer to the lobby is not fully step-free, as there are doors that do not open automatically.

There may not always be an unobstructed route to the accessible restroom.
When the museum is open, accessible restrooms on the exhibition floor (-1) are also available.
