Assessment and evaluation of impacts in arts and culture
The significance of impact assessment has become centrally important in societies and policy making, including cultural policy. Several impact assessment projects have also been done at Cupore over the years.
In 2015, Cupore started working, in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Culture, towards developing methodologies and an information base on assessing the impacts of cultural policy. As part of this development work, two working documents have been published in Cupore’s publications series of working papers in Finnish in 2016. The first publications is a general introduction on impact assessment in cultural policy and the second one a review of Cupore’s evaluation and assessment work over the years.
