Emmi Lahtinen, researcher in the Foundation for Cultural Policy Research (Cupore). In Cupore I work with various research projects that address issues such as participation, equality, diversity and accessibility.
Emmi Lahtinen has in-depth knowledge in issues concerning arts and culture participation, equality and diversity, as well as art education and design practice. She has previously worked as a project coordinator in the Ministry of Education and Culture where she coordinated the work of the Access to Art and Culture committee. While working in the Culture for All Service she studied arts and culture accessibility and participation among sexual minorities. Lahtinen has also worked at the Arts Promotion Centre Finland, Design Museum Finland, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow and Jyväskylä Art Museum.
She also has a master’s degree in textile design and works as a freelance pattern designer.
